SUMMARY:WESLI
DESCRIPTION:Ubuntu- I am/We are because you are”-“Ubuntu – Je suis/Nous sommes parce que vous êtes \nThe Fredericton Playhouse is proud to present Haitian-Canadian musician Wesli on February 18th at 7:30pm as part of our  Black History celebrations in NB. \nBorn in Port-au-Prince\, Haiti\, Wesli has been playing music since he was just eight years old. Be it acoustic or with his big band\, he unites Haitian voodoo and rara styles with roots\, Afrobeat\, and hip-hop styles. \nWe are excited to be showcasing Wesli for the first time\, as the Fredericton Playhouse has partnered with Black-led organizations\, the New Brunswick African Association\, BOTA-NB\, including le Centre Communautaire Ste-Anne to bring you one of the best of Afro-Caribbean artists working today. \nWesli & his team will also lead a dance and drumming workshop for community members of all ages. The workshop will be offered virtually and in-person at the Fredericton Cultural Centre. This event is free\, and everyone is welcome. \nTickets for Wesli are available at the Playhouse Box Office in person\, or by calling 506-458-8344.
